Straight out of Germany, Loremo AG has been working since 2000 on getting their ultra-fuel effecient vehicle out in the streets of developing countries - but the plan changed as people were becoming more aware of the environment and gas prices went up. Now, Loremo AG predicts they will start mass production in 2011 for sale in Europe as well as developing countries, and after initial launch possibly expand to the US.
Enough about the company though, these sexy beasts not only boast outstanding visual design, but also have incredible gas mileage. They should definitely consider selling these in the US quickly - people wouldn’t need to drive a dumb looking Prius and get much higher gas mileage. Getting up to 140 mpg and weighing 1,200 pounds, this car really shows you have far technology has gotten. A max speed of 120 mph and a 0 to 60 time of 10~ seconds is not bad at all for a car that you could get for around 20,000 euro ($25,000 USD for the Americans). The Loremo also has ultra-low emissions, 80 grams of CO2 a mile so you do your part to help the environment along with having a sick looking ride that’s fuel efficient, also reusing the emissions to power the turbocharger in the diesel engine. No, you may not be able to race with the Loremo, but you can sure enough impress people with its badass looks and pretty much never pay for gas.
