The lily pad- future homes for us all
The Lilypad will hopefully be where we are living in 100 years. Designed by Vincent Callebaut, this eco-friendly structure can hold up to 50,000 people. Thanks to the Lilypad, global warming will no longer be an obstacle. Take that Al Gore! You know what they say; if you can’t beat ‘em join ‘em, and that’s exactly how the Lilypad works. Don’t fight the melting, enjoy it. Okay, enough about global warming, lets get back to the floating structure of greatness. Vicent hopes to make his design a reality by 2100, and hopefully his dream will come true. The Lilypad is so great, not only because of its design, but because of its self productiveness (if that’s a word). Half of the Pad is submerged underwater, while the other half is soaking up solar energy. Don’t worry, we brought you guys some nice pictures.
